I've just ordered the cam bearing tools from Georges Garage & parts from M&M for a 103" BB with 0.030" head gaskets & Andrews 54H cam swap , I will be using the standard heads for now.

Thanks to Scotty's cam swap Im guna have a crack at it myself. My questions are......

    Do I need a S/E clutch spring?

Do I need S/E Cylinder Studs?

Will a 50mm throttle body give me more hp/tq, if so how much?

Will the original lifters be ok to reuse, bike has done 17000km?

    Cheers, Nibbla

    Thanks Scotty,

    What is a VPC clutch?

I was thinking of using the SE 50mm TB (27623-05) which (I think ) comes with larger injectors fitted.

    Dave,

ya dont need to touch the clutch, ive built 103ci motors with 110hp 1000s of km old n no clutch slip, on stock heads this build wont have any more than 90hp. id put a set of se pushrods in if the cam has lots of lift (not sure on the spec of the andrews cam)

I already have the SE clutch spring so may as well fit it.

Why would you fit pushrods if the stock ones are correct length? Are the SE pushrods stronger?
