I bought the 19mm chain, ground anchor and lock. $540AUS delivered. Weighs a ton and hardly fits on the bike. As posted, grinders make short work of them. Another guy in my unit rides an early heritage softie and doesn't lock it at all. They might take his before mine. The chain is for piece of mind i suppose. It would make stealing her a bit more of an effort. I have the xena alarmed disc-lock too. Also, don't leave your keys+fobs at home. I take mine to work with me. The neigbour had some dodgey tv guys come and check her tv reception a while back. They were more interested in the unit than the tv. Next day they climbed the balconey, got into her unit and took her car keys. Just drove away. I'm so f***kin paranoid.

I considered the krpto then deliberately decided to go down a grade. Just enough to inconvenience them, but not so much that it would encourage a home invasion to get the key.

Big twins are the obvious targets of course for spare parts value, and the latest thing is to toss them into a freezer van so the alarm can't be heard. I did hear of a sporty parked in the street around Newtown where they just ignored the alarm and tossed the bike onto the back of a ute. They had a bit of bad luck though - pulled up at a stop sign with the alarm still going when a cop car pulled up in the next lane. Bike promptly returned unharmed to owner.

I thought i bought a Krypto chain but it actually a Magnum brand - approved by insurance companies. Bloody thick chain. It was around $300. Ive got a Krypto ground anchor though. I actually also went and bought one of those xena disc alarms yesterday aswell. Not real happy with it though as i thought they would be more sensative. You actually have to give it a decent knock before it goes off. I dont assume you can change the sensativity on it???

I have the HD dust cover on mine, only to disguise it, but the idiot thing has the HD logo on it so I have to fold that out of the way. Really wanted a cover that said Sachs Express.

    SOLUTION:

    1. Store it in your bedroom

    2. Chain around your ankle, padlocked to frame

    3. Sit up all night in straight backed chair

    4. Loaded shotgun in your lap

    5. Never  take your eyes of bike

    6. If you nod off and in the morning it is gone you have no one to blame but yourself.

Of course the worrying thing about that situation is that they find the bike and its been thrashed and the insurance makes me take it back and I have to buy a new chain and lock
