    > Hi I am hoping someone may be able to help me. I have just purchased a 2006 Superglide custom with standard bars. I am a 5''5" female and would like to change the bars to something   with pull back risers,as I have to lean slightly forward with the ones on it now. Can anyone suggest what I am best off doing without having to change any of the cables etc. Cheers Michelle

congrats on the new bike very nice indeed yes you can get swept back risers and bars that curve back to cater for the vertical challenged. i dont think their is anything harley doesnt make un like other brands just go so your local stealer.
ride safe and be good to your mother

    Hey ladyriderrose

you shouldn't have much trouble with cables if you fit risers or different handle bars, as long as you aren't going to ape hangers , as there is a little extra length to electrical cables, push into the frame

but you may want to watch the front brake line

I fitted westerns which was 4 inch wider on my standard superglide, without to much drama except I had to change the brake line

Do you have any idea as to what you want to fit

Well if your going with westerns then, you will only need the brake line, the stock one is strecthed when fitted, I got a after market streetbob braided brake line

As for risers, the super glide speedo is the same center distance and I thiknk it is the same bolt pattern as the other risers, should be able to use the lower half and the speedo top

this is the link to my bikes conversion on this forum with the bars

the trick to not changing cables is to keep the "arc" from the mounting point on the triple tree, to the tip of the bar(end of handgrip), as constant as you can
so if you can select a new bar where that remains relatively constant, cables fit the same, despite changes in height, and or width
