Looks like the time has come to get a new battery for my old Sporty. Most car drivers seem reluctant to give me a jump start and I'm getting too old to do a postmans hop, so what is a good brand. I would like to go for a odyssey as I've had a good run from them in the past, like 8 years,but the initial cost is a bit high as I think Swany's going to give me a good thumpin tonight. Any thoughts on the subject, the battery not Swan   Northey

i have heard that harley batteries are actually deka brand . they are'nt bad batteries either.

I do alot of electrical work in my shed, see all sorts of supposed starter problems and 99% of the time they are battery related, the same advice goes out to everyone, go and buy a genuine HD battery, if there is no stealers in your area then buy an odyssey. Got nearly 5 years outa the original battery in my old bike and changed it rather than it let me down, put an odyssey in it and it is still going strong..

Go for the Odyssey battery - They utilise AGM technology and don't suffer from sulphation and can handle heat and long periods of not being used
