Does anyone know what specs the oil should be for the tranny in an 06 softail. eg; API GL1 or GL5,GL6 etc. I want to try Penrite or other in the box but I'm not sure which one to buy.

Thanks scotty, the stuff I'm looking at is Penrite synthetic 75-90 rated API GL5 and GL6, will that be ok ??

Thank goodness for that.....for a minute there I thought Peter was talking about lubing up the other type of Tranny

I did say Tranny in an 06 softail guys, so I think it was just wishful thinking on your behalf. Try and get out more,ok. No charge for the advice. DR PHIL.
