Hi there all this sounds good, so instead of every one saying count me in, or it sounds good why dont we start things here in good old wa. As its been said this may start small, so we should plan small.
I do feel the idea of a set date in each state is good, so why not work on that for now, it cant be to hard to do that. We first need a person in each state to plan the event and they can keep intouch with each other and work it out from there.
I'll plan the NT ride.

Two words:
RUN TRUCK.
Forget about jerry cans and swags on your bikes, just get one boofhead in a vehicle towing a decent covered in trailer and you can cart all your fuel, sleeping gear, food and piss (and any broken down sporty's).
The only rule is, the run truck NEVER passes a bike. It's has to be like the USMC - don't leave anyone behind.

I come from Alice and ain't going back.
Having said that it's not in the middle of no-where, it's in the centre of every-where. And if you make a d/head of your self out there you will die there, it's full of arseholes who think nobody will think to look for them that far away.
Lets look more to the 'inaugral' rally being in KC's back yard, and I do mean his back yard!!!
2nd weekend of Oct would be perfect, (week after Moto GP) and anyone who really needs (or wants) to go via the Springs can.
BTW the actual Alice Springs is a temporary water hole the size of a back yard pool 3klm from the GPO. O/nite temps June to August go down to -4.
