Im certainly no einstein, and there are a lot more ppl here who will give a more definative answer.

Mine is also a 94 1200, pre thunder slide kit and coil i was getting around 5100 rpm, after im hitting just on 6k, having said that i dont flog it and was only seeing the difference after the upgrades.

Other than the occassional burst i usually stick around the 4k mark, after all its not a rice burner and i didnt want another.

Prior to the jap bike i had a norton and trumpy, so screaming  motors is not what im after.Sheesh im showing my age

If your bike has a stock Ignition. It has a factory set limiter at 5400 , very safe . I have a SE 7000 Module and my Bike loves it

There is no bounce, just the spark cut out.
