Its not the fine and the 3 points that will hurt its when you drop the bike or get some idiot in a cage knock you off and the insurance company tells you they wont pay a cent because you werent wearing an approved helmet....that hurts more than the off.

Cheaper option and just as smart, do what an old mate done, buy a ski helmet and paint it matt black, then ride free until you suffer the consequences.

Just take the compliance patch out of the lining of an old lid and get the misses to sew it inside the new helmet

    That's not rocket science

Thanx for trying guys. Just for the record X rated dont make the Bushranger any more they have a new one called the Canon ball which comes from China (of course). Ive seen one of these lids and to be honest they look as thought the mold isn't right and they are twisted when they are new. Incidentally the guy on Ebay who advertisies the Bushranger is not actually selling the Bushranger it is a Canonball. Canonball has 1 black rivet and the Bushranger has 2 Chrome rivets on the strap if anyone wants to know the difference. So i am still looking for this mythical guy in Geelong that may be making a Bushranger or something very similar. Any help much appreciated.

I have a Bushranger sitting on the shelf at home. Its an XL and in as new condition. If you want it, pm me and its yours. Other than the price I paid for it, it only cost me $840.00 and 9points...........which is why it has been sitting on a shelf for a few years.

To answer your question yes i did find out about the bushranger.

The Bushranger is no longer available. The next best thing is the canonball. It is an Ultra low profile novelty helmet and not legal for road use. We do however stock this helmet in most sizes. check out the website www.zorros.net.au we can ship Australia wide

Both Bushranger and Canonball are both illegal for road use. If you get a bike copper stop you he will know this in any event and no sticker nor label will stop him giving you a ticket and if you are really unlucky he may give you a further one for fraud or perverting the course of justice. That said lots of people wear these helmets and if you do get stopped provided you have a fully legible sticker and label you should be ok. Be aware that if the sticker is peeling off and/or the label is illegible then you can still get a ticket if Mr plod feels that way inclined. It is your responsibility to prove the helmet complies and part of that compliance states both label and sticker must be fully legible. Ergo if its not your nicked son.

Hope that explains it clearly. If not please PM me.
