Just talking to a mate from work on the phone to organise a ride, as he has just bought a Buell, and he was telling me about how he got hassled by the big blue gang at Glen Innes NSW. He got pulled over with 3 cars. They finished with the first car and then told the other 2 cars they could go with no story of why they were pulled over. They then told him to take the keys out of the bike, get off the bike, what club do you belong to? are you a nom? who do you ride with? Take your jacket off, turn it inside out, open up your wallet, take all your cards out, show all the compartments of your wallet, empty your pockets, why do you have 2 phones?(we have a work phone which we have to have) Who payed for the phone? Who do you phone? How long have you had the bike? How did you pay for it? Where did you buy it? Do you have any secret compartment on the bike? He asked if he could put his jacket back on because it was cold and there response was"when we tell you, you can". This has happened to a 22 year old who is not big at all, doesn't even look like a bikie, who had the bike 4 days!!!! Welcome to the bike riding lifestyle. The poor bastard, and all they are is pricks for hassling a young bloke who has had the bike only 4 days. What good PR the police have. WTF is going on???

Under the old laws the big blue gang had to have reasonable cause to search any vehicle. With the new bikie laws I'm not sure what extent of the cause they need to search. As for the questioning, better off saying nothing, but keep it friendly so they don't go getting a yellow sticker out!
