I spose they did it to identify it as a Fat Bob. Otherwise it is only the rear shocks and bars that are still the same. but im with you karl , I woulda changed the pipes too.

They have made that look substantially better than stock.

My guess on the pipes is it is being sold by a Harley dealer and needs to pass registration still.

fark its beautiful went and bought mine yesterday.mines comming with vance & hines short shot staggered,s e. heavy breather filter, pro efi super tuner rack and sissy bar
any ideas where one could get the rear guard and tyre, front rim wouldnt go astray either.
update a few weeks ago i was concerned about vibration on a fat bob well went for a test ride at ballina i thought what vibration maybe a little at certain times but nothing over the top i reckon it was a sweet ride nice and tight like a virgin i was wrapped ordered then and there mine comes in about 10 days. standard exhaust are terrible could not hear the engine at all.
about the only concern without a tacho how do you know when your close to redline is it a feel type of thing i just held the throttle down till the engine started to buzz changed gears and back to smooth.

thanks buddie forgot to mention i bought a true track for it.fark their a nice bike the northern rivers hog have already ask me to come for a ride. i have never seen so many grey beards or grey hair me included.

its comiing with baffles hope its not going to be to loud i have nazi neighbours.

mate your not gonna believe this the harley demo team fatbob i test rode was only working on one cylnder thats why it vibrated at certain times and i thought gee its gutless but after the rocket everything will feel slow. but i still liked it so i bought one well suprise suprise rode mine home on friday wow two cylinders nice. i went easy cause of new tyres got home fark me back wheel drenched in oil pissing out of the internal crank case so monday on the ute back to the stealers dont know what they did but seems ok now i cant ride it cause the fucking rain wont stop and a cyclone is coming cant even start it in the garage cause the neibour is a prick with ears.i handled the wait but now my patience has worn out i am not coping well if i was into drugs like the ole days i would be heavliy sedated right now, might try the carton threapy.maybe its my karma when i rode triumphs  i bagged the shit out of harleys and yet the reality is i think my fatbob is made better by a long shot the finish is no where as good. 

get a laugh out of that one i will one day.the missus just cracks up. cause she has a perverted sense of humour.
