my mate has a 03 softail gearbox and is experiencing a rattling noise when he ischanging through the gears we dropped the oil and found some metal shavings on the plug the bike has done about 80,000klms. any one got an idea on problems that could be happening ?

Some fine metal on the plug is normal. Chunks of metal are not. Was there any change since you replaced the oil?

I'd recommend the same. Good stuff that Redline!!
