Infringement notice

Hey guys, Skulz and myself rode up to visit Wayne today.

We parked our bikes on the grassed area and each received a $100 infringement for our troubles.

I was wondering if anyone knew how official these infringements are. I'm considering saying there was no ticket on the bike (because where would you put a ticket, even though it was jammed between the seat and the tank)

Basically, can we get out of it?

Has anyone got any experience in this area?

BTW, it was issued by the hospital. Not cops or parking cops.

we had the same problem here with a private company and nobody payed the fines and this went on for a few years and they could do nothing about it . then some how they got in with the council and issued every person with tickets from day one which in some accounts was quite a large sum of money and they got their money in the end i believe people had to pay up . my daughter owed $600 and had to pay it back . so beware

I have a friend who recently had her infringemnnt waived. I'm assuming at the same hospital on Ipswich Rd. I won't go into all the details but here are their reasons for withdrawing the notice.
    1. The intention of the infringement notice is to prevent reoccurrence.
    2. It is believed your vehicle is unlikely to be parked illegally in the future.
    3. This infringement notice will be treated as a warning.
    4. Further breaches will result in an infringement notice that will be enforced.

These four reasons are a direct quote from the letter she recieved. It showed me that, unlike their local and state counterparts, they are not without compassion.

Perhaps an apology and some grovelling in writing might get you the desired outcome. Nothing ventured - nothing gained.

Why you not tell me this? There is always a way out of everything! Don't pay it yet, gis it when I see you again and I'll see what I  can do. I have pre-written letters to the infringment processing for just these occassions that have worked in the past. Let Skulz know too and they can be sent in together. Worth a try, worst outcome will be they say you gotta pay!
