The old man was born, one of 14 kids, in Shepherds Bush, London in 1933.
After army service in Cyprus he joined the merchant navy and in berween trips away conceived his only child, a boy.
His son saw little of his father in the early years, in fact one of his sons first memories of his dad was being on the back of his Royal Enfield on the North Circular Road screaming 'faster dad, faster'.
From that time on the son had an instilled love of motorbikes of all kinds, a love that is still there some 50 years later.
The old man passed away at 03:30 this morning.
RIP, you old buggar
