So i picked up some high quality s/steel  marine grade clamps from Harvey Hose Supplies , Rocklea Brisbane.

price was $67.79

2 muffler clamps

6 heatshield clamps

4 small one's for the piece between pipes

not included is 4 clamps for heatshield on mufflers  ( i dont use them )

 

 

I noticed mine this last weekend, rusted up a bit....

Yeh, the bands on the H-D items are stainless but not the nuts and bolts/screws. Mine looked the same at 8 months. Same parts ,same price, from Harvey Hose Supplies Townsville, beautiful up till last month when I fitted a whole new system. Oh yeh, I got a new set of pipes (Rinehart CrossBack) will post a pick when I remember how.

I have the same problem with the bolts that hold my slip on mufflers into place. Cheap and bloody nasty. Not to mention the stripped thread...I'm thinking about drilling and tapping an 8mm thread and putting in four stainless bolts..What were they thinking??
