    Guys

Howdy, new to the forum, my old man and I pick up our 2000 Heritage softail 2mrw. It has alot of accessories added which saves us buying them later. I have some

    questions though!

With the saddlebags, do they remove easily? are they fixed?

With the screen does it remove easily?

With the sissy bar does that remove easily?

Sometimes when we want to just ride 1 up and locally we may want to remove these and wanted to know how long it would take to remove all of these etc.

    Cheers

it they are quick release then it will be a simple few sec job for each .. if they are not then , nothing a set of shifters cant do easy enough. removal of bags will leave a few ugly bolts sticking out ... but then you just go to the klocal h'ware store and buy some short bolts to replace ..

    Hey Rosi

Ive got 08 Heritage. If its a gen HD screen, 30 seconds max to remove.

Saddle bages has (from memory) 12 mm bullet nut on bottom connection and 2 hex nuts inside bag  top. ie removable not detachable.

Sissy bar is probably fixed. Need to remove saddle bages, then side plates. Best to remove side plates then take off sissy bar mounts, as the locking screws are hard to get at while still on  the bike (thats if its like mine) and you may damage the paint trying. As FLSTC says, you are left with some ugly bolt threads but you can fet chromed magnetic cps for them if you really want.

If I ride locally I usually just tak of the screen. I used to think the sissy and pillion looked bit orinary if one up, but got used to it. You can probably by quick detachable sissy bar if you want, but IMHO the money is better spent on other bling.

Took the screen off my Heritage and will never put it back on unless my Mother wants to take it for a ride.
