I have the 08 model and they have the extra stabalizer on the front cylinder head. Supposed to cure the wobbles.

Let us know how it goes HogBag.
After riding an FXR, the Road King handles bends like a old VW.
But it does ride ten times better.

Hogbag is there a particular seller on ebay selling #'s of them or was your purchase just a 1-off? Difficult for a mechanical goose like me to install? And IYO (there are some tasty '07 Road Kings at good prices around) is an '07 worthwhile? Or should I hang out fot an '08 or '09?

I have an 07 road king and love it ...really depends on what you think is worth the money ..if u have the money for 09 then buy it
the biggest changes came with the 09 model, not so much 08, especially framwise
I havent ridden on 08 or 09 model, but I reckon an 07 is worth it

My 08 has fly-by-wire and I actually grown to like it.
Had a issue with it early on in the piece with the idle but Guru Scotty helped me out with it and now I know that I wont have issues with sticky throttles or broken cables.
Different strokes for different blokes really.

How does it go two up, rkc07? Have you changed the seat, or made any suspension mods? I agree, Hogbag, FBW does seem an odd thing to install on a bike. But thanks an endless argument, eh? Old vs new.. ran into a guy with an old shovel, he just hates anything new, whatever happens to the shovel, he can fix.. but really, how often do the newy's go wrong? (That'll open a can of worms I bet..) But Hogbag, you didn't say if your stabilizer was a one off purchase, or is someone selling them on ebay?

the bike goes great guns two up ... have done some serious k's two up and without an issue
swapped the stock seat for a gel two peice seat when I bought it basically and my partner thinks it is very comfy ... we recently spent two days riding, loaded up and she didnt complain about the seat or the ride
suspension is stock, but thats due more to money or lack of than anyother reason .. apart from seat, pipes and air cleaner my bike is stock
I have done melb to wollongong in one go, just stopping for petrol and the bike just ate the miles up ...loved it
my personal preference is that I wouldnt swap my 07 for a newer bike ... it has everything I want or need in a bike ...

Hey HB,
Any feedback yet?

Thanks HB.
I downloaded the installation instructions, and it looks pretty easy. I haven't (and don't intend to) remove the flapper valve on the exhaust. Did the link install without touching the valve? or have you removed yours?
Did you do the "Alignment Procedure"?
