    Hi All

Well finaly tracked down a Fat Bob that will not take 18 months to get here. It's going to be here in April only thing is though it's coming from Mackay in QLD so it will cost a bit more in freight and a plane trip than I anticipated, may be I will have a stop over in Brissy to see some mates.

Any way it will be worth it I am sure, colour will be Dark Blue Pearl.

    Take care

    Bob

    Pigiron Bob,
I waited 6 months for mine and it was well worth the wait, rumor has it that the dealer in Bundy has one that is not sold also. Not sure if it is stock, coming or may have been already sold by now. One of my mates just went to Bundy to pic his up because the dealer here on the Sunshine Coast could not supply. Have got 2 mates that have got one as well now and the general opinion is that they are awesome. There is a few pictures posted by me on this site, one of a mates vivid black one with V & H 2 into ones and my dark blue pearl one with the Screamin Eagle pipes. Both have 16" ape hangers fitted.

I was in the dealer (Robbo's Canberra) today and just out of interest asked about Fat Bobs. They said they only got 4 allocated and all are sold. He basically said it would be a long, long (like years) wait if you wanted one. Glad you could get one sooner.

    Cheers
    Boof

Bob, I was told it would take 12 months for my Fat Bob to get here when I ordered it back in feb, but it turned up two months to the day I ordered it. I pick it up this morning. You can get lucky sometimes, aparently it was del the wrong colour for somebody else but i would say they have had some cancellations due to waiting periods to chop 10 months of my wait.

You wont regret it Lofty. Did you take posession of your FAT BOY, if so the Fat Bob will be like riding a sports bike in comparison, nimble and quick. I picked mine up on saturday and rode it all weekend then jumped on my old vulcan classic to go to work on monday and it felt like i was trying to pilot the queen mary through the panama canal.

My FatBob finaly gets delivered tomorrow afternoon, about bloody time !!

Any way when it comes out of the box I will be fitting Nightrider 02 Sensor Enrichment Device and then I will be riding it like I stole it to run it in.

I have on order a set of Rush slip on mufflers and a K@N filter setup which will be fitted after the 1st service, undecided wether to get a Thundermax at this stage or not, cheaper alternatives out there but from the looks of it the Thundermax is the pick of them all.

The other thing that may need changing is the handle bars, need more pull back so if any one has any suggestions please lets have them, no apes though.

Now I am happy as a pig in shit .............

    lucky SOB pigiron !

I thought I'd have mine around now but no such luck.

They tell me its due into melbourne 22may.  I have just ordered a set of samson ripsaws for the fb.

BUT I have a brand new V&H big radius for sale in sundays paper.  I liked them at first but figured they might be too loud in my sedate little neighbourhood, so I deciced to flog them off and get the ripsaws.

Now I just a bike to bolt them to !

    2into2 big radius.

And before everyone says, I know the 2into1 is the best for power, but all the 2-1's I've heard so far dont appeal to me at all. It needs to be a 2-2.
1-1's are almost "not harley" in the sound, and as cheesy as it sounds I like the sound of a HD.
If power drove all my decision making ( and reliability for that matter ) I would have kept my mind-blowing ball-tearing M109r and never layed out so much for a HD.
No matter what a guy with a tc96 does he will never get close to a stock m109r for power or tq.
For me its about the whole harley thing of sound, nostalgia, class, cool, ageless design philosophy etc, so power will always be considered, but will never be the primary deciding factor.
