I use tyre shine on my black engine to keep it looking good, which i found about on the forum, i told a mate and he went and got Armorall tyre shine. I use the stuff in the spray can which is tops. Is the Armorall stuff ok to use on the engine as well or not? I dont want to stuff up his bike. Thanks.

Yup, Silicone spray all the way, also good for tight zippers on Caravan annexes I found out by being lazy one day lol

Brings the black up on ya engine better than new, I have also heard of people who recommended Mr Sheen as Tapey said

I have some white Maguiar's metal polish stains on the black fins next to the rocker covers from trying to polish out the stains on the rocker covers left by Trivetts after washing my bike when it was hot, anyone have a idea for removing these stains, I have tried several things without success, can you use a pressure cleaner on the fins without damaging the black parts?

I used to clean my whitewalls with a scouring pad and never, never used any kind of lubricant on the sides of tyres. If ya want them clean, hit em with some elbow grease and a scouring pad.

    I like my silver engine....
