need some help. iam leaning towards a new fatbob with about 3.5 k extras. i have sat on it in the shop weight felt real good were the fat boy felt heavy.since i am selling my rocket cause its to heavy dont like to spread my legs that far .it hurts.now i know what the misses is complaining about.

my big concern is it is not a balanced engine and vibration may be a problem. a little bit is ok but a lot will put me off.i cant get a test ride till next month, and why dont they put a b engine in a dyna i have lost so much money on the last 2 triumphs i would not buy another one for that reason .the guy on this site whos trying to sell a 07 speedmaster for 14.5 k is up their with the fairies i got 11 k 14 months ago their 16 k new. anyway thats another story. this is about my new bike all opinions are good.another option was to make a softtail custom look like a fatbob minus the rear shocks. will never be a bagger must be forward controls and flat bars like the fatbob speedy and m109.

may allah grant you many motor bikes

thanks kiwi dave i sat on all of them the fatbob felt so much better than anything else. let alone the looks and after the research i think your comment is fairly correct. i would not mind a bike to be pumping at low rpm it just cant buzz like a weedeater on the highway and someone said a balanced motor buzz at higher rpm. mate i had to wait till i was 55 and kids pissed off before i could afford a harley punks dont work they wont be able to afford it. maybe
go to ebay and type triumph thats what i ride now its awsome but still like a roadking . i want the dyna nice size

Im also looking at the fatbob and have had concerns about excessive engine vibration.

Ive had two test rides first time we took the softail std and bob 2nd time we took out a fatboy and the bob for a really good run

I love the stlye of the fatbob thats the bike i wont the only thing that but me off was the engine vibration

in saying that the first time i rode it i tended to be in to high a gear and copped a fair bit of vibration

second time i rode it right, you only need 1,2,3 in 50-60km zones and 4th in 70,80 area's she dont like to idle in to high a gear

Ive sold my busa and need to juggle some founds around but should have a new black pearl fxdf by october

First thing im doing to it is to but on a HD oil cooler and pair of Rush slip on's

    cheers Glaz

guys thanks for the input i think i have it worked out got some good advice hear on this forum fuck i picked up some shit along the way even from my harley dealer he just sat on the fence like a soft cock. that was not cool he would tell you what you want to hear.

it appears the dynas vibrate at idle so what i think thats cool man  iam riding a bike not a sewing machine. and it smoothes out when you give it some stick, keep the revs up the counter balanced engines still buzz at high rpm. but are smooth at idle not what i want plus it must handle as i love the twisties. cant wait to go for a blast i know it wont be like the rocket but in some ways i reckon it will be more fun. the rocket is best suited on a drag strip tow truck or ploughing the fields looks a bit like a tractor.

man just cant wait to go for a ride booked in on the 5 may. i have to sell my rocket do you know any farm cockies looking for some farm equipment.

iam going with what gives me a horn

    Yep dyna's vibrate!
They vibrate more at around town speeds 40klm - 60 klm than on the hiway, the higher you rev them the better they feel, get a true track, it cuts the vibration by about half and makes em handle corners even better.

I've got both , got the rocket , and the Dyna street bob , rode the rocket today , 300 klm missis on the back , thinkinfg fack what a great bike for touring , but got home 2.30.
2.35 I'm on the dyna going too see a couple off mates in a couple off pubs , sat at the lights thinking this vibrates a lot , take off and think fack this is a good bike , going to see another mate went the long way extra , 30 klm and went that way just so i could go through the twisties and the hills , all the way just smiling and thinking LIFE IS GOOD,

What i'm trying too say is the dyna's are different ride too the rocket seems vibration is just a Harley thing but heh thats why you buy them , and too be honest i got the rocket for touring , but my missis says the street bob with the backrest is more comfaortable , I JUST BLATANT refused too put bags on it , backrest was enough . But heh if i had a fat bob , bags would'nt look out off place and you can tour or , play .

Maybee i should off took my own advice but heh hindsights a good thing , the rocket sort off scared me at first, now after 900 klm i'm throwing it around, i get off it, and the dyna feels like a sports car compared to a f100 , GO the dyna you won't regret it.

I know if i was gonna go all over again i would probably have gone the fat bob and spent heaps on it instead off two new bikes in 12 months. Cos i still facking spent heaps.

ah boxer thanks for the input got on the piss last night and told the missus iam gonna keep the rocket and buy the fat bob i am no longer worried about a bit of vibration i think it is a charatristic of the bike go to ytube no owners complain the only negative input i get is from non dyna owners .mate does that tell ya some thing.cool you got a rocket every time you get off it do you tell youf self iam not going to go that fast again the only thing that pulls me up is i cant keep my helmet down past 180 ks fark its an awsome bike.  boxer my bike is on ebay now go check it out i have done some very cool mods and could help you a lot my bike is probaly about 160 to 180 hp. not bad since standard was what 120` 130 even makes a v rod a pussy but i guess it can be worked to its all about bucks.

mate i live at ocean shores if you want to bring the misus for a ride your welcome to call in iam a friendly guy and i dont bite like my dog.
