    pickt up me bike today with the new thundermax on it  mate if HD ADELAIDE knew wat they were doing id be real happy

    pings like no tomorrow

    idels at 1900 rpm for 15secs b4 getting back to normal

    no 6th gear light

    apart from that , it does take of real good still , probly not as good as the pc3 did but with a better map im sure it will out perfome the pc3

    so ill be reloading some maps tomorrow n see how it goes

    pickt up me custom made seat by skinners  mate its real comfy and looks sick

    will post some pics over the weekend

    ps any1 got a good 107 map ??

    scotty great read mate i recon ill pop in the last 1 they tryed, as im running the stock inj , not sure wat hardware i got with it mate

    stix where does it say the cc on them ?  i assure ya mine are 104cc od and my psi is 125/127 , when i pickt up bike i always used the relises as ya would . ive not used them since i pickt it up from hd shop and i started it 4 times when i got home to see if it would slow down cranking speed ,40min ride so it was hot ,  it cranks faster than the 07 sporty lol ,with leads of

    not real sure wat we are guna do asyet, waiting to see wat randy @zippers recomends, was spose to ring rae yesterday but got caught up , im of to coffs on wed night so it will stay like it is 4 now besides a map thing

    put in 365 and it seems better , still pings a little under load

    SCOTTY i see wat ya mean about 4.5 , this 1 wont do me 6th gear etc

    played with a few more maps today and 365 deff is the best for me

    SCOTTY how the F@#K do ya make that 4.5 work ? cant get it hapning  of to coffs on wed so wen i get back i might have to get ya over n show me how it works ,

    There are two versions of the T-Max tuning software. Retail and builder. Our version allows us much more control over the unit. I fail to see why they do not give it to the retail consumer. But I would look your RPM, and map load and work with the timing curve. As well see what the afr is at the point of ign ping. You my find that you have a lean spot in the arf curve.

    steve that means little to me lol  the 1 i got now is , base ign 7deg 13.04 afr , ill wait till we sus it n get a dyno done so its close, spewing the pc3 didnt hold up as karls map was the ducks nuts beside the fuel econ , but who cares wen ya got all that power :)

    ya no wat u guys were saying to me about the 45 deg cam setup makes sence , every map ive put in pings at some stage , [ forgot to mention it this morning] im of to see the guys tomorrow n see wat we can do , want another psi thing done from some who isnt HD dealer

    FINALY GOT MY BIKE BACK TO RAIS TO GET IT SUS , THOUGHT HED JUST DO A QUICK COMPRESION TEST 1ST BE4 GOING ANY FUTHER , AND ILL BE F#@KT THE FRONT WAS 196 AND THE REAR WAS 195 PSI , WHERE THE HELL DOES A PLACE LIKE  HARLEY ADELELAIDE GET OF ON NOT CHECKING THERE WORK TWICE WHEN , OR THE GAUGE ,WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM LIKE 125PSI IN A BB HARLEY,  ALL I CAN PUT IT DOWN TO IS WANTING TO GET INSIDE MY MOTER AND HAVE A SUS AND MAKE MORE $

    IVE SPENT OVER $50.000 THERE THIS YR AND $32.000 2YRS BE4 , C@#NTS WONT GET ME AGAIN , MELBOURNE IS ONLY 7OO KS AWAY

    Hi Guy's         

                   bought a tunder max with auto tuner, after changing my pipes and air intake on my 07 FXSTC which started popping on decel. Installed it myself, eventually found a UBS to serial port connector, down loaded a map and the bike initially ran rough but now she as sweet as. Very happy with it, now looking at a screamin eagle 103 stage II big bore kit.

    I am about to go down the T/Max Auto road as well. I am hoping to install it myself and was looking for any tips that will make the install smoother.

    I'm looking for what problems you encountered and how you got around them. Any advice would be appreciated.

    I just checked out their web site. They have a complete kit at a real good price. Pipes, A/C and ECM all for US$719.
    Looks like as soon as I sell one of the extra pistols I have laying around I'll be buying it.

    put my bike on a dyno up in nsw and the TMAX works unreal, runs a perfect AF from idel to 270kph, streetbob speedos will not go past the 220 done all 6th gear pulls and i must say i was imprest with the way it will dump fuel and return back to 13.2 straight away, it seems to process watever info its after in milisecons i stipulated i wasnt not interested in the HP and it was not to go over 6000rpm or thrashst or id thrash him , i stood there n video the whole thing  at around 5800rpm it lacks fuel so i will put some biger than stock injecters in 1 day, the stock headers with the SS slipons were more than enough for the flow thing they look at on the dyno, 

    sorry about no HP numbers but ya gota keep somthings to urself

    Toast ------ Thats made with bread isn't it????

    I read that Surley had a few routing issues with the O2 bungs and thought that those who have fitted one might have a bit of advice on areas that can cause dramas. Otherwise I'm happy to follow the manual.

    Greg,

    Remove the  fender bolts and route the large plug thru the cut out in the base of the fender.

    My 07 FXST has long studs that the original ECU sits on with the nuts up near the top of the unit. The thundermax has cutouts on the ecu and the nuts need to go to almost the bottom of the studs. This was impossible on the upper two studs and almost impossible on the lower two. I changed to Nyloc nuts and it was much the same. I was hoping to find some lengths of tube to pretty this up but if you can think of a simple solution please let me know.

    As said in the thread I started I am very happy with the performance upgrade and manners after installing the tmax.

    u will like it mate , the thing i learnt most was its not about riding it 200ks etc to get it set up its getting them 3-4-5 k rides in so it gets to the 248deg [think thats it ] and letting it cool down, this is where it learns the quickest, i done about 50ks on my new map b4 hitting the dyno and it was near spot on , the dyno guy told me the same thing about the heat rides

    I would agree the DTT is hard to set up. We have done more than I can count and we still get some that are a pain. We just did a T-max on a 117 that is running great with no issues. Overall I would choose the t-max over the DTT.
