We just love showing off our Photoshop skills. (airbrush wannabe's)
I don't see what the fuss is about. Ever day we ride our bikes our rego is visable for all to see. But I got a false one anyway..
I remember reading in a magazine (Easyriders, maybe) a long time ago that one of their previously featured bikes was later stolen and because of that the editors began covering numberplates on featured bikes, the reason being to stop the specific location of a bike being discovered via licensing authorities or other means. Engine and/or frame serial numbers are sometimes covered for the same reason.
Sellers often only post a partial view of a serial number so potential buyers can examine the stamping but the exact location of the bike cannot be obtained.
Obviously a numberplate is visible to all when a bike is in normal use but I cover my plate when posting photos of my bike. Eric (my real name)
