Scotty i got my TTS system today from John. Loaded the software applied the update. Then conncted it to the bike. I went to save the original stock calibration but i get vin not found ecm pn not found cal id not found lock stat 1 slot unlocked. The save ecm comes up with not found. What have i done wrong? Why wont the program read the bikes ECM?
Thanks Scotty turned the iginition on but not the run switch
Why carnt you look at the bikes original settings? Now that its saved.
Just uploaded the file that was to easy. Going for a ride now. Let you know what the bike goes like in about half an hour.
Back from the test ride what a difference the TTS file makes. Better acceleration but that could be from the Screamin eagle air cleaner. Now to try and work out the data master. I need a mini laytop to record as i ride.
Yes...I just registered 4.27.09 and yes I did get banned from the HDF in the states because they insisted I sponsered them with a $690,00 a month payment to continue to post there. I feel they have lost the concept of what a forum is all about and I expressed this to them in an aggressive way....lol.....however if this forum is related to the states HDF I'm sure I will be banned from this one too in do time.
Doc
Very well said Scotty....I quit posting on most all of them here....it seems they are all into the money instead of helping people with their questions.
Never mind the fact that you ARE modifying the stock calibration when a map is downloaded to the bike. And if that's the only reason stock calibrations are encrypted, why are your non-stock calibrations also encrypted? Why would the laws give you the right to modify calibrations but not everyone else?
Redirect... don't answer the questions. Got it. I'm not going to argue about this, nor did I intend to start one. You won't convince me the EPA cares more about some file on your hard disk than the actual calibration you've completely changed in the ECM. Done.
Welcome guys! Interesting to see some well known EFI tuning names appearing on the forum. Hope it leads to lots of sharing and problem solving as people start to play more hands-on with their EFI. Scotty has been awesome in sharing his knowledge and expertise to date. I've learned a lot through following a number of threads. Of couse having a sporty I'm still not happy that we've been ripped off some really neat features (though not unhappy enough to change bikes ). Doc, as Scotty suggests, we could use some more dyno tuners trained on TTS for those folks that don't want to play with it themselves... when you coming to fix that?
Doc and Steve I am glad I found you guys, I have been following TTS threads for over a year now and have read all the tuning guides as well as the complete users manual that came with my SERT v4.77. Steve is there any hope of an upgrade to TTS for my current SERT and will the price difference be worth waiting for? I have a 26H cam I am waiting to install in my bike and would like to tune it myself. I just have a hard time swollowing the idea of having 2 of virtually the same dongles @ $425 each..... Is the upgrade going to be a reality?
