Just uploaded the file that was to easy. Going for a ride now. Let you know what  the bike goes like in about half an hour.

Back from the test ride what a difference the TTS file makes. Better acceleration but that could be from the Screamin eagle air cleaner. Now to try and work out the data master. I need a mini laytop to record as i ride.

Does DOC visit this forum? See he was banned on the US side.

Yes...I just registered 4.27.09 and yes I did get banned from the HDF in the states because they insisted I sponsered them with a $690,00 a month payment to continue to post there. I feel they have lost the concept of what a forum is all about and I expressed this to them in an aggressive way....lol.....however if this forum is related to the states HDF I'm sure I will be banned from this one too in do time.

Very well said Scotty....I quit posting on most  all of them here....it seems they are all into the money instead of helping people with their questions.

No offense, but Frank your full of it. You really have no idea of why things are done or how they work and that's fine but please quit trying to BS everyone. There are leagl reasons here in the USA that we do not allow th euser to modify a stock calibration. It has nothing to do with understanding the software or any other BS you make up. Since the issue are real and we are a US company we do not allow it in any of out product.

Never mind the fact that you ARE modifying the stock calibration when a map is downloaded to the bike. And if that's the only reason stock calibrations are encrypted, why are your non-stock calibrations also encrypted? Why would the laws give you the right to modify calibrations but not everyone else?

See there you go again talking about things you know nothing about. Show me a stock bike from the factory with any of the TTS supplied calibrations and code please, until then please spread your BS elsewhere.

Redirect... don't answer the questions. Got it. I'm not going to argue about this, nor did I intend to start one. You won't convince me the EPA cares more about some file on your hard disk than the actual calibration you've completely changed in the ECM. Done.

Welcome guys! Interesting to see some well known EFI tuning names appearing on the forum. Hope it leads to lots of sharing and problem solving as people start to play more hands-on with their EFI. Scotty has been awesome in sharing his knowledge and expertise to date. I've learned a lot through following a number of threads. Of couse having a sporty I'm still not happy that we've been ripped off some really neat features (though not unhappy enough to change bikes ;) ).
Doc, as Scotty suggests, we could use some more dyno tuners trained on TTS for those folks that don't want to play with it themselves... when you coming to fix that? ;)

I would love to see you guys down there tuning your own and understanding why your doing what your doing. The more you do, the more you will begin to see, you can do. The Sporty are what they are and to change them would take a lot of work and I'm not sure anyone is really willing to pay for that. After all, we all need to make a living. Some of you have already been using our V-tune product and with our tuning guide released let me know what you do not understand and I can try to clear it up. Just remember crap in gets crap out when it comes to any computer program. One of the main things you need to remember when running V-tune data collection is more good data is better! In the areas your trying to tune you need to get the Histogram "green" in color in order to get proper corrections. Green is the minimum amount of data required to make a good correction, yes, we make corrections with less data but they will not be correct as much as the green ones and the longer it will take to make the corrections to get to where you need to be. It's important to read, follow and understand the directions so that you can get the proper tuneup when doing this. Please follow what we say as the things others are saying out there are just dead wrong.

Any data taken when it's not in closed loop and used for a correction will screw up the correction. I tried over and over before to explain this and that is the reason we removed things from data collection as people just did not understand it. It's always easier to copy what someone else has already done but since no one has ever done what we've done it took a lot of time and believe me it was not simple to make work as some would believe. The TTS calibrations files, the code, data collection and Vtune all have to work together or it's a no go as far as getting a proper tuneup.

You can run the motor at 14.6 AFR at WOT but not for long periods of time. Remember this is only done to get the VE table calibrated. Once calibrated you will set the mixture to what you want and the ECM will deliver it for you. Also if you shift the CLB as most are doing you will not be calibrating for 14.6 but to something else in the range of 14.2 - 14.6. Most modern day factory cars run 14.6 at WOT for as long as 1- 2 minutes straight from the factory, not that I think they should but they do it for emissions reasons. They can run that long due to being water cooled at full load wide open throttle. On a harley you will not do any damage doing it to calibrate the VE's.

Wide Open Throttle is really anytime you get manifold pressure = to atmospheric pressure. At sea level this is 100 kPa and will be different at different altitudes. Mastertune will not allow you to go beyond ~85 kPa @ 14.6 setting. This is a safety we built in. If you go to our tuning guide you will see how to properly use Vtune to set the VE tables for the higher than 85 kPa areas. My example above was just make clear that you can run at 14.6 WOT and not hurt the engine, not that Mastertune will allow it.

Doc and Steve I am glad I found you guys, I have been following TTS threads for over a year now and have read all the tuning guides as well as the complete users manual that came with my SERT v4.77. Steve is there any hope of an upgrade to TTS for my current SERT and will the price difference be worth waiting for? I have a 26H cam I am waiting to install in my bike and would like to tune it myself. I just have a hard time swollowing the idea of having 2 of virtually the same dongles @ $425 each..... Is the upgrade going to be a reality?

The upgrade for the SERT is coming, no changing our minds on it. Mastertune is being upgraded to be able to handle this and that version is currently being tested now. Once that is released the upgrade will follow, but it has to be correct not half correct! This upgrade will be for the 2005 and later HD bikes. I do not have the price yet but rest assured it will not be out of line. We started shipping product in August last year so it's not yet been a year but this should be the last update until after the 2010 bikes are released at which point we will be working to include those models.

G'Day all ! Glad I found the TTS guru's ! Thanks to Doc and Steve for the sharing of knowledge, I appreciate it. I was pretty lost with my software when I first got it, the new help guides really helped a LOT, thanks guys, my bike now runs the way it should and I am just running the base map with no Vtune yet, soon as the weather and time permits I'll be giving that a shot also. So far I really like this site a lot better than that last one !
