You can use your one, you just have to re-mount it some where, or make up a bracket. You can also change to an aftermarket one if you like, Coops has one on his Bike, I will check a price tomorrow for you.

Forgive my total ignorance, but in keeping with his original question, you can keep your original setup (riser/speedo) and just change the bar itself right?

Looking at the original setup (from memory) its two pieces (?) with the riser clamping onto the upper bar, like a bicycle type setup, so any correct sized bar should slip in there, as long as you take into account thickness, cable length, riding position and tank clearance, right? I'm probably totally wrong since I never ever looked and CBF going into the shed boxes to find the raggedy old manual.  Maybe the "clamp" I can see in my head just attaches the speedo

We are talking about fitting T Bars to a Custom, You must remove the Stock Riser and Speedo and Replace the Speedo with a aftermarket unit or a Stock one from the Standard XL , You mount the Std XL Speedo on to the two top bolts on the top of the Trees , where the Chrome Plate is, Another way is to make a Bracket and remount the Custom Speedo somewhere or because the Speedo's are electronic you can mount it where ever you like, EG on the Motor, or on the Fork Legs.

This is the drag bar (or similar) I was looking at:
    http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com/Custom-Handlebars-Chrome-Drag-Bar.htm

I presume it wouldn't need any really messing around, but I'd be checking that all out properly before forking out cash, and hopefully finding a pic of one already on a stock setup to see if it looks like shit.

The cables wont hit,the drag bars are out further then the original bars. Mine are drag bars and none the cables are to long. I did mine myself even the electrics i wired through the bars. Also custom chrome have some gauge mounts that might work
