    Here is todays update.

    The Forward Controls.

The Bike came with Forward Controls and they realy in bad shape. The Pegs where junk and about to fall off, the Chrome was very poor, and the Brake and Shifter where at the wrong angle.

I didn't want to buy new one's so I thought I would just Spruce them up a little,

New Pegs, some Holes Drilled in to the Arms and a Colour Change,

Iv'e only given them a quick coat of black for the photos, I will get them Power Coated during the week

I will also Shorten the Rods and get then sitting at the right angle once the Engine is in the New Frame.

    AFTER

The Engine is going down to Wild Rhino Motorcycles to get pulled down and checked over.

I will also get some of the Engine Parts back to be Re-Chromed and Powder Coat before Reno and the Guys put it back together.

Some more Parts arived. Twisted Spokes, New Kicker, and Tail Light, Thanks Steve. The Pipes are out getting Coated and will be back tommorow and at last the Frame should be here on Friday.

Here todays update. The Oil Tank

I spent the day making a Soft Tail Oil Tank fit in to my Frame, I like the style of this Round Tank

First thing was to cut out the Battery Tray,  Once the Tray is gone I can set the Tank futher back and not hard up close to the Engine.

Then  I had to trim down the Bottom edgeof the Right Hand side so it matched the Left., On a Soft Tail the main feed Oil Line come off the Bottom of the RH side of the Tank, Im going to change it to the Bottom of the Centre of the Tank.

The Tank is also too wide at 12" so Im cuting it down to 10"

Looks much better now 1-1/2 " shorter

I made up a Bracket that mounts on to the Back Bar and it's done

I things are starting to come together, I droped the Engine of at Wild Rhino's to get checked over and I got the Back Wheel back from the Powder Coaters, now it's for getting Re-Spoked.

And Today I made a start on the Battery Tray and I choped up a Pair of old Handle Bars to use as a mount for my Tail Light.

I picked up the Back Wheel last night from Keith Gunnie after he Re-asembled it for me after getting it back from the Powder Coaters, Keith has done a great job and it looks fantasic with the Twisted Spokes. I rushed down this morning and had the Tyre Fitted.

It's hard to belive thats it's the same old Back Wheel that I had left over from the Geekster.

The Rear Fender has been doing my Head in, I bought a 6" Flat Frender but it looks wrong. I was over at Joe Pegga's week and spoted a Front Fender from a V Rod sitting on his Bench,

I took it home and tried it and it perfict, You will have to wait till next weekend for that update.

    Todays Update

I droped in a Wild Rhino's to see how the Engine was coming along, Reno and Gunna are doing a great job on it.

The Side and Primary Covers are back from the Powder Coaters and Look Fantasic , Gunna found a problem with the Gear Box and has fixed it up like new, He has also fitted a Dyna Ignition in to the Old Gal.

We are just waiting on the Rocker Boxes and Manifold to come back from the Chrome Platers,  with a bit of luck I should have it back home next week

I dld tell you guys that I was going to use a V Rod Front Gaurd as a Rear Fender,

Well things didn't go to plan. The V Rod has a recesse pressed in it and it was to hard for my Panel Beater to Re-work. I then thought of using one from a Dyna Fat Bob but the Stealer wanted $380.00 for one.. There was no way I was doing that . So it was on to Plan B,,,, Grab some thing from Work.

This is the V Rod , Looks Great and the Shape is just right

Plan B,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I marked it out and cut it the same shape and size of the V Rod

The Front Wheel has arived , Iv'e also been waiting on a Front Tyre, When I was a Reno's today he had a spare one and gave it to me ,,,, He's a good Guy.

I had to cut out the Spokes so I can get the Wheel Powder Coated and Re-spoked with Twisted Spokes like the Rear . It a shame to destoy a New Wheel ,But that what Building a Custom Bike is all about.
