Lesly Randle, the glamorous solicitor for the Comanchero, the outlaw motorcycle gang in the thick of Sydney's bikie war, will be up in front of a magistrate in the Downing Centre Local Court later this year - only this time as the defendant. Randle, who shot to prominence as the legal mouthpiece for the Comanchero city president, Mahmoud "Mick" Hawi, faces three charges relating to an incident on Bronte Road last year. The Diary understands Randle was pinged by a constable after being spotted using a mobile phone while driving. Court records say it was then discovered Randle wasn't carrying her driver's licence. Things appear to have gone downhill, as she is also charged with "resist or hinder a police officer in the execution of duty". Perhaps she had her court appearance in mind when she spoke to the ABC's 7.30 Report about the Government's planned anti-gang laws this week. "You cannot deny that there's a criminal element to the group, yes, but that's all walks of life. There's a criminal element to Australians, a criminal element to Lebanese people. There's a lot of people that are before the court who have nothing to do with bike clubs."
