G'day, just wondering what you guys are using for detailing the crome work?  I brought a HD microfibre cloth but find it hard to polish with and leaves little fibres, I brought a bag of rags and it seems easier to polish with.

I use Wicked. Wipe it on with one of the kids old socks and wipe it off and bingo, all shiny again.

A truck driver put me onto it cause thats all he uses and it is the best stuff I have used to date.

I've been advised by a Panel Beater mate to use "Windex" or simular very sparingly because of the Amonia Content (overspray onto paintwork will remove polish)

For me McGuires does the trick....

    Cheers

"Brite Shine" Cotton Wadding Polish. Made by Kenco Car Care Meadow Bank NSW. Wadding comes in a small tin, and you just pull some out and rub over your chrome, and when its a bit dry, polish it with old T-shirts or other cotton cloth. Works a treat.

    Cleaning procedure:
Ensure that is at least one carton of something in the fridge - beer/jack etc
Survey the cleaning job as you consume 2 or 3 drinks - NEVER rush into this task or you will miss bits
Clean the bike - with Purple polish and Mr sheen (careful on the seat as it makes it slippery). By this time you should have consumed a further 3 or 4 drinks
Pack the cleaning gear away except for a good clean polishing cloth which can be used for those last few touches and whilst admiring the job down another few drinks.
This can be done alone but it is good to have a like minded person to talk shit with and solve some of the worlds problems

Mr Sheen unscented, is good for keeping the shine looking good, if it's starting to look ratty then purple polish is good, and bright shine also good(that's what i'm using at moment)
