Can Any body recommend a reasonable price and quality bike lifter? Something with about 800mm lift . Cos i'm too bloody lazy to get down on the ground to work on it. Also a supplier? Can;t find one in South Oz at all.

If you have a MALZ store go and see what they have got.

They have a number of different lifts and one might take your fancy

I have got their 450kg lift that you ride the bike on

I got one of those bike lifts from Repco. Only lift to 450mm max height but that is enough for me. $149.00. Made in chine and I had to do some mods to correct some manufacturing issues but apart from that it works fine for me.

Bought mine from Repco here in WA. Its Chinese origin and the weldings a bit crap in places, but does the job and beats crawling around on the floor!
    Cost was $149.
I use it for cleaning the bike too, I get it up in the air, then scoot around on a gas lift office chair, much easier than kneeling!

I got mine from a bike shop and it was about $190.00, and it lifts from under the bike so the wheel arn't touching anything, which i find good as you can clean them easily. It is a bit like the repco ones but made a bit better. Get a stool that is on wheels and wheel yourself around the bike, so much easier than getting on your hands and knees.

Thanks for the concern about no straps but they weren't necessary for the photo shoot.

But I know what you mean about bikes falling off stands - it fell off my other stand (a small mechanical centre type stand) when it collapsed....not funny watching it happen.....the new windscreen has a horizon line scratched into it right in line with my vision and the fairing has battle scars - not recommended

Grub, ratz ere, dont no if this is too late but yea i got 1 from repco the other day $145. Not so lazy to get down to the deck just too old to get bak up in a hurry, not a bad lift for the muny but gotta wotch chinee steel (strength an welds) and shear in bolts, it has a pall lock thats a must!! Also chek Just Bikes rag it has a few which look a bit betr??? w.radum.com.au or spanner supplies. or theres BUSHTEK which is great for cleaning at  8" lift and soooo cheap

Grab a bit of 8" x 4" hwd bout 30" / 750mm long, drill a hole (speed bore) 28mm at 1 end bout 50mm from top an 50mm from end to suit cheeta bar ( gal water pipe) 1"/ 25mm at bout 800 long. Clean up the edges on hwd log with the 4" grinder then get some carpet/ soft thik cloth, grannys fukin undies wotever and fold over the top edge where frame will sit and nail off as a rubbing strip, i used snake bites which are used for fixing sarking/sisalation in  houses. Obviously u place this weapon/log at centr under the frame, stik the cheeter bar in the hole and roll yer scooter up onit. Dunno if pine wud do as im big on tuffstuff ie hwd spotdgum etc. hope this helps. Cheers from that fuckin Rat

    NO FLAMERS!!
