Had my test ride of the FB and softail today at Trivett Alexandria

I thought the FB went good, handled well brakes were ok bike is comfy

0-80km goes quite alright for the weight of the bike

Only thing i didn't really like and was a bit of a shock was the engine vibration compared to the softail and i thought the softy sounded better.I found there was like a sweet spot in the FB rpm range if in there no vibration but if your in to high a gear she shakes bad and when you rev her right out she vibrates to, i can cruize around every where on my Busa in 6 gear.Is there a fix for this vibration problem ? i was reading something on here about the front engine mounts re-aligning them and packing them if need be.

Can anybody surgest some go fast bits to live'n this FB up

EG; Slip on's,air cleaner and EFI tuner do these 96TC need a oil cooler?

    Cheers Glaz

I have a FATBOB and had the front engine mount changed under warranty and that fixed a lot of the problems.  There will be some vibrations because the motor unlike the Fatboy and softails the Dynas motors are not counter balanced.  If replacing the engine mounts don't fix it then I suggest you go down the track that you have already discussed.

As for go fast modsyou can do all sorts of things from basic air, slip ons and tuning to bigger motors etc. The basic mods are free flowing air filter, slip on pipes and ECM with either TTS, Thundermax, SERT, or one of the many other units available.  Do your home work and ask lots of questions.  My FB has a Thundermax but on my new bike I am going for a TTS because I feel it gives me more options when tuning.

A oil cooler isn't really required but they can't hurt.
