Hi Nikki, welcome to the forum.  A forum mate of mine has recently moved to Townsville, rides a dark blue sporty too.  His name is Nomada.

Enjoy your new ride, and there are plenty here to help answer your questions.

I keep telling myself to stop spending money on aesthetics and to start getting cash together for a 1200/1250 kit, but really I'm not bored of the power it has at the moment so I got some Metzler white-walls put on over the weekend haha.

Pretty happy with how they look and they handle much better than the Dunlops that were on there beforehand. Though I swear the Metzler rear tyre isn't as wide as the Dunlop was, despite both being 150/80, so I think the profile is different somewhat or my eyes are playing tricks.

Can't wait to get some progressives on the back though, should really help complete the look I am going for. Might also get the coil & key relocate done, unsure about lifting the tank.

looking good noctm ! you wont be disappointed with the progressives and I'd also recommend you do the front aswell. The bike will feel so much better and handle like it should.

What length progressives are you thinking of getting noctm? I had 11" progressives on mine and took them off after a couple rides. Way too harsh, had to set them up hard or just bottom out all the time.

Have 11" Ikons now, heaps better, did the front aswell, raised it about an inch with ikon springs and some valving changes.

Next project will be installing an Aerocharger Turbo on the bike as that's the mod I'm most comfortable and familiar with (my FXR runs a turbo). I've already spent lots of time just pondering where the heck I'm going to run the exhaust and manifold plumbing as I want to mount the turbo on the left side of the bike rather than the more common right side. It may be that it ends up near the right hand passenger footpeg if I get really stuck, or worst case in the normal position on the right in front of the manifold.

I have the turbo unit already in the shed, but am in no hurry as the bike is my daily commuter (rain or shine). My gut is telling me that a Sporty with a blower is going to be a beast to be feared!

Fry, have you gone to a wider rim on the rear? might just be the tyre, but looks pretty wide viewed from the back. Seen a few turned into dirt bikes. Looks like fun.
