mine looked similar to these in the beginning, just with a small section of box at the top , like the ebay ones, and spacer bushes on the mount holes.

Mine is still chrome underneath still ( the crome coat went a bit flakey where the edges were cut) I will have to take it off soon and have it properly blasted and painted , I dont think the matt black will stay on it for too long.

 I had a go at racing in brackets at Mallala(Adelaide)......didn't come last...2 jap bikes behind me!

Well a new bike in the Stable,

This is how she looked when I bought it (a couple of days ago).
Its a 2003 Anniversary Sportster 1200 Sport, with 24,000 klm's up on clock.
Been repainted and looks ok but a lot of pitting and corrosion on bike and needs a really good tidy up.
The last pic is how she would look back to original specs.
Still deciding whether to take back to original or modify into a bobber/bar hopper/chopper/tracker whatever they are called this week.
