ConR, i hope you didnt buy clutch and brake cables with the bars, as they are much too long, i used the diamond black clutch and brake for 8" bars and they fitted perfect. I also ordered my bars 1/2 inch narrow to line up with the forks. What tuner do you have for your bike?

Oh man. Haha. Yeah I bought the kit from Road 6 that has the cables also. Those are too long? Crap!

Now that I've gone white walls and have white grips going, I was wanting to go with white cables if I can find them!

I'm running an SE tuner but will be going to 1200s soon. Local guy is doing it all.

Btw are those the Battistini pegs? I looked at those. Fantastic looking! Just wasn't sure if they were slippery being metal?

Thankfully my boss has been in Melbourne all week, which means I've been working on my bike all week <img src=" border="0" />

Painted the wraps in a high temp silicome paint in copper.  Thermo Tec.  Much better I reckon!  Thoughts?

Only issue...I was way too lazy to take the pipes off, so I painted them while on.  Taped up the bike real good, and used old sheets.  Still got some on the metal bracket that mounts the pipes.  You think paint thinner would take that off wihtout damaging the metal?

EDIT:  Methylated spirits for the win!  Cleaned right off!

Pipes look ok, but i think i prefer the black, but who gives a fuk what i think as long as you reckon they look alright.

i to prefer the black (easy to clean) but the copper color dose go well with the red.... i still think you should have gone red of the side wall of the tyres.... it would have finished it off better....

Yeah I like to be different haha. I agree black is the choice for most, but that's exactly why I didn't go with it. Been done too many times.

The reason I didn't go red on the sidewall is because I want to go with a red spoke wheel eventually. Would have been too much red. Plus I have white grips coming to go with the white walls. Still on the hunt for white cables!
