My brand new 2011 Iron, got her on saturday! What a birthday present!
Sorry Steamer,
I thought you talking about the last bike pic that was posted after your comment.
Finally got time to tuck the wires, move coil and relocate speedo/ headlight. Getting there.... Lower shocks, air cleaner and tune next.
Ignition bracket was great for anyone who is looking at them.... even came with red mounting rubber to match the leads.
Hey Kookie and cheers.... its getting there. Ignition reolcation kit some of the other guys had talked about earlier in this thread.
Here is the one though in case you are looking:
www.ebay.com.au/itm/SPORTSTER-NIGHTSTER-IRON-COIL-KEY-RELOCATION-SE-WIRES-/260801389229
The indicators have new covers, or hooded trim rings I think they call these ones (with clear/tinted lenses). Just google "sportster smoked lense trim ring" or something similar.
Yeah thats the same one
thats the same kit i bought, I didn't end up keeping the tank lift on there though, like the look of it without it
updated with relocating cables and ignition
Hey guys, i finally fitted up my new bars the other day. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with my front indicators, i cannot decide weather to relocate them to the forks or get mirrors with indicators in them... These bars are easy to fit, all you need are the right tools to de-pin the wiring so it can be fed inside the bars, i found removing the left grip easy from the stock bar, i use a piece of stiff wire to feed in under the grip while trying to twist it at the same time, i also use pliers to force it down more and it worked fine, i soaked the grip in hot water before refitting to new bars, i also fitted up a new front braid brake like, i have to say that the feel is much better, i put this down to 1 of 2 things, either there was air in stock hose or the braided hose dose make a difference, bleeding was easy, i just removed the caliper and put a 19mm spanner inbetween the pads (so piston wont come out) and getting help from my miss's to operate the leaver i held the caliper above the handle bars, all are out in 2 minutes!
Regards Andrew
Still need to fit the seat, so wont do a 'proper' photo until then..
When I have some spare cash I'll prob change the bars to lower ones, but thats about it really.
