The illegal one ya got , all i can say is $10 helmet for a $10 head , a crushed head wouldnt look real cool , the shorty helmet's are ok BUT the wind noise may drive ya crazy as it did me , I say stick with an open face legal one so ya wont cop any crap from the cop's

Illegal helmets offer as much protection as riding in stubbies, a bluey and thongs. I've got a son who rides in t-shirt, shorts and unlaced shoes. Says it doesnt matter because he only rides a 250. Wont say what I called him. In my line of work I have seen the end product of a "minor" off stretched out on a slab in the mortuary. Not a mark on them till you open them up. Doesnt take much to f#*k up your head.
Roka Rida greetings from the rat, sumthing i heard last week on a radio doco bout helmets, the interview was with a funwrecker from the goldcoast fun wrecking team and wen asked about quality of lids and certs, 1st point was that if u get a lid from os even shoei or arai etc that has no oz tckts (5 ticks udig) it will fail the funrekers standards (no lid fine 3pts and the bugsbunny$$) Now that to me is just a luvly way of raising revenue in its purest form as the CE mark on european stuff is a very hi standard indeed and the same goes for USA stuff as their insurance code is outofthisworld.
2ndly i thort was amusing, these people will also ping u if yor lid is dinted or scratched and will b deemed "not legal" and that old Shoei bin hanin on the nail in da shed for 10yrs (no lid fine) now i gess if old mate that has just pulled u over for wotever, will go dwn this avenue if he is completley anal, has a bad case of grapes, not gettin his tube cleaned or wotever, its the chance that we take.I do however like my shorty which is worth about $400.00 these daze and as i said thats the chance we/i take. I dont like riding with a bowling ball tied to my hed but am just about to upgrade to a nu lid thats legal but not so chunky. I dont mind bragging that about 20mths ago me and a few mates went to Sturgis the harley mecca up top and yeah they got no lid laws in every state xcept cali but i did ride wit me shorty evryware didnt wanna mess up me do, but wen 500k harley nuts ride in an around the surrounding nthrn states, Dakota etc, witout lids, u gotta wunda wat the fuss is about, me and me mate da Roadrunner rode thru 10 states and mexico at warp 7 (nearly) in 28 daze and had no close 1,s so riding style is also a bit of an issue, my motto 80% defensive 20% aggressive and alwaze scanning.
