Picked up my new 09 vivid black Roadking classic yesterday the 140kms ride home from the stealers was a true joy(apart from it being too quiet, waiting for V&H monster ovals to arrive). No complaints from the missus either, she loved the sundowner deep bucket seat and the extra shiney bits I had fitted So lifes real rosy apart from this thing called work which at present is stuffing up the weekends as well as the week days.

So now I'm allowed to ride in the presence of Tarmac and Cunning stunt, providing they can learn to KEEP UP

    Will update pics later

    Hi ya Rooshooter,

Cant tell ya how they sound as I'm still waiting for them, seems as though my dealer is having trouble getting hold of them and is waiting for a delivery from the U.S. Probably should have ordered them from the states myself (and saved a few bucks) According to a few of the others on the forum (loftybob, etc) they sound shit hot. Meanwhile I'm enjoying a bloody great but quiet bike.

Congratulations Fozz, excellent choice of bike. Highly reccomended, especially for 2 up touring. I went with the S&S ovals and they sound shit hot. Nice rumble, not too loud. The pipes, the aircleaner and chip was done before I picked up the new bike.

Sorry about not updating sooner but this bloody thing called work keeps getting in the way. Did however manage to fit in a 1500km ride over easter with tarmac and his better half and had a bloody ball. I'm chuffed to buggery with the the new bike I'm not going to bag out  the old softail as I loved that bike, but the new one made me realise how much more work I was doing, the roady just seems to do things easier without much effort on my behalf (even the missus noticed) and never did I get a sore butt , though I fitted a sundowner deep bucket seat  which I'm sure helped. Havent done any engine mods just fitted sissybar , pad, rack and blinged it up with some flame designed bits, still waitng for the monster ovals from the stealer and it's gone beyond a joke, been copping heaps of shit from my so called mates with their smart arse comments about my honda

Onya Skin, couldn't have said tit better myself. I traded up from a 06 Heritage and agree that you got more ground clearance, havent manage to scrape the new Roadie yet.Fitted a Sundowner deep bucket seat more for the missus comfort than mine. Gotta fit a breather kit and RT, just need to convince the financial controller that it's more important than a new lounge suite and that those oil spots on the carpet really do look cool. Only kidding she loves the bike almost as much as I do and has suported my frivolous spending on those gotta have bits.

Yep ya right tarmac, yesterday was cold but this morning it's f---ing freezing with a heavy frost, took a 1cm slab of ice of the tonneau cover of the ute at 8.00am, looks like it will be a brilliant day once it warms up. Should be going for a ride, even the boss woman suggested taking the day of but being the dedicated company man that I am I decided against it , maybe tomorrow though when we're not already half way to work.

Skin, will be interested to know how the bike performs with the SE RT and air kit fitted, I can here mine sucking in the air when I'm riding so please keep me posted.

I've put a Lepera bare bones with gel seat on my 01 roadie. Obviously not for loungeroom comfort but would say it is equal to the standard seats feel even though its thinner and narrower. Good quality also. I only run 10psi in the back shock for solo riding and 2psi in the forks.

haven't ajusted the rear shocks at all yet so its still the same pressure as it was when i picked it up me thinks. will be looking at this for this weekend. Anyway never had anyone game enought o get on the back thats why I have got the Dany Grey Butt Crack Solo coming, should be on this week for a ride up north on the weekend.

I ride solo most of the time and have my rear shocks with 15lbsi in them, great ride.
