G'day, I am going on a trip from Sydney to Canberra and wanted to get a detachable screen for the trip, Harley wants $727 and 8 weeks

I have emailed eagle screens and a place on ebay with no reply, wish I coud afford to do that in my business

Any ideas where I can get a screen within a week at a reasonable price?

isnt there a super store out parra way for bikes, just cant think of the store name for the life of me

others on here will know the name

have u got all the parts to cater for the quick detach screens? dont think many stores would carry them as they arent a common item purchased

I emailed them to see what they had available, hopefully they will come back to me with some options, still has to be cheaper than $727!

It seems MCA have the National Cycle one in stock, its not as big, 15 inchs high and bolts to the handlebars, I'm not a big bloke do you think it will do the job?  its about $200, I'm only going to use it for highway runs so I want something that will do a good job.

who knows mate, take a run out there on your bike, place it in position where it would lock on and then see ..thats what I would do

u need to consider whether you want to look thru it or over it, some people dont like looking thru ..all a personal thing ...all u need to do is have the screen push the wind off your face/front and it makes a big difference

if u are going to se a windshield on a lot of rides, then better off spending the money up front and getting something right for first time, than going the cheap option and maybe having to spend the money anyway in the future

    your call tho

Its not to bad up to about 100, at 110 I'm feel by neck getting knocked about and think it could get uncomfortable after a while. I have a Nolan open face with the pull down shield.

Jason, good suggestions so far. I wouldn't rush into it this time, take the trip without and do some more research. See what other Delux owners are using. You don't want to be dissapointed with a rush purchase and then have to buy the expensive item later. Believe me once you've used a screen for long trips you won't go back to being nekkid. My mate has an 05 Delux and he has the genuine HD article, so easy to remove etc.

G'day, yes its got the peak....I have the bluetooth in it too for the phone and iPod. Anything to make it more enjoyable, its still better than my old Honda 900 hornet was.

Trade the HD, get a Honda Goldwing with knee warmers and splurge on a lambswool seat cover.
