Improving Front End Suspension on Street Bob

    Howdy all.

I am fairly certain that everyone here finds front suspension on Street Bob to be barely adequate for normal Ozzie roads. Mine consistently bottoms out (especially when riding over uneven surface). If I even think of touching the front brake while riding over the irregular surface, the suspension just can't cope. Both compression dumping and rebound are way below adequate.

Has anyone done anything about it? What works and what doesn't? All I want is better quality ride, especially over the irregular surfaces.

    Cheers

    Vlad

Progressive springs and std fork oil will sort it out.
Thats what I run on mine and it is adequate.
You could spend more and make it even better if ya wanted.

PD valves are another option similar to intim or gold valves
better springs is always good, but it is, to my mind, the rod dampening that lets the whole show down

I've got a Racetech front end kit coming some time next week. I've read through the US forums and they're highly recommended. Will let ya know how they go.

Hey Gents, thanks for all your comments here.
I ended up gettings a set of progressive fork springs and Harley heavy fork oil. Did the change over myself, no major issues here.
The improvement is certainly remarkable considering the relatively modest expense. I might decide to take it further and install racetech gold valve emulators.
Will see how I go over the next few weeks.

Who sells the Gold valve emulators? I wouldn't mind giving them a go.
I don't mind spending if it handles a bit better.
Anyone got Ohlins shocks on their Dyna??
