Here we go again with more dot-pointed minutes from today's run.

    - This run turned out to be probably even more fun that Club 59'ers run to Launching Place last week. Two of the best rides coming late in the season - awesome. Great people, lots of good hearty riding today and some of the must-see places of greater Melbourne and beyond. Nice to see lots of forumers. So here we go...
    - Woke today and messaged seaeagle, who may have missed the run if his phone had not have beeped.
    - Found the day was looking great, but it was still quite Krispy Kold outside. Donned the jacket and knew I'd rather have taken the vest in about an hour's time - but it wouldn't have been fun, even for the ten min trip to Stevo's in Dandenong.
    - Arrived to meet one chap already waiting - also named Mark. Seconds later, everyone rumbled in.
    - Forum regulars Hootin, seaeagle and weasel appeared. We all met Walka for the first time. He has a super Sporty. NOS ftw.
    - Lots of other decent characters in the bunch. Face masks were compulsory! Even Hootin was in on this.
    - Harley-Davidsons officially attract bees. No shit. If we're not wearing the fuckers in the face on rides, they're all over our bikes and our jackets when we're parked. Fuck off and make honey or something.
    - Weasel met up with a beloved dealer from Stevo's pre-ride and love was in the air. I can't remember what he muttered about him but it was hilarious.
    - We rolled out casually and made our way up Stud Road and found a heap of cages out on the road, Sunday driving and probably all believing we were all evil outlaw supremos cos they've read a paper and listened to the news in the past week, and can't think for themselves.
    - Pulled up next to seaeagle and his shovel had chucked its shifter peg off on the ride. Laughed at the thought of him hooking his foot around the lever to upshift a gear!!
    - Made it to Healesville and the bakery. Declined eating for a decent chow-down at St Andrews. Met a few other forumites new and those from last week. Good seeing you guys again.
    - Seaeagle had gone all McGyver on his shovel and with a u-shaped bolt and some electrical tape, had a shifter peg to last a decade!
    - Seaeagle also mentioned being laughed at by some mouthy faggot at the Vietnam Vet's meet - that shovel's look great 'on the back of a trailer'. The guy deserved a headbutt - but this has since turned out to be an omen! Should've smashed him, Cris.
    - Off then to St Andrews via Yarra Glen. The scenery included a cloudless blue sky, decent roads giving a panorama of the city and Dandenongs, a cyclist with huge baps and some old bird blowing kisses at us as we rode by. Turns out Hootin has again charmed the senior ladies - even with a facemask on, his masculinity knows no bounds and they spot him every time!
    - Noticed the dude on the hot looking flamed bling mobile had a great looking bike. I think it was rigid - it didn't corner so well. People were recounting taking an avoidance on corners. But the bike looked great anyway (pic attached).
    - Made it to St Andrews earlier than expected. Ended up drinking with some young local lads. Nice meals that filled most of us up well.
    - Had a good chuckle at the power rangers on warwick capper's (jappers) mosquitoing past us - no one gave a fuck. There were some alright looking roadster cars that pulled up, and an original mustang.
    - The hot chicky waitress serving the meals had a beautiful... number plate. I think it read: (_!_)
    - seaeagle congratulated on me on my work on the outhouse's ambiance...
    - Impromptu decision to ride up to Kinglake was made. Up the windy and ultimately bare steep hills. So alien. Naturally, all stupid jokes aside, this was just surreal. The forest has simply the black, burnt charred stumps of the trees standing. You can see right through the windy corners, whereas I imagine it was dense forest previously. The people would have had NO chance if stuck to confront what did that. I wept for a few seconds just seeing it. Some burnt out shells of cars are still up there, where they were on the day. I was humbled.
    - Back down to Whittlesea for a gas-up and plan the route home. Met with Coops who has a Sporty that rolled sweetly on the way home, I was just behind him. Nice bike. Hope to again see you on two wheels in the coming weeks.
    - Someone said that Ronster looks like Mick Gatto...
    - Off on the way home and a nice blat at a cheeky pace. Up Eastlink and there departed Hootin, and MapleLeafs inadvertently lost seaeagle to a breakdown - no good.
    - All in all a nice day on two wheels. Great weather, perfect size group and respectful riders who weren't killjoys. Also nice that a couple of ladies were doing it solo and equally loud as well.
    - Cheers to Walka for the hookup on this one!

Thanks Mapleleafs for that great summary. It was good to meet you and the rest of the guys. By the way, that flamed job was a softail with bugger all suspension travel left. Talk about a deathtrap; when he corners his chassis scrapes on the road - not my cup of tea but each to their own.

Thanks Walka for letting us know about it.

It was a good day and great to meet everyone.

I too was impressed by the ladies riding solo and mixing it up with the dudes.

Walka, Ronster and Coops; it was good riding down to Dandy with you guys.

Payo was a great guy, it was great talking to him.

Karen, keep up the good work on that Dyna

BTW, if I'd know so many of you guys were going to go to Kinglake I would have waited a bit longer.

BTW, on my way up to Kinglake I caught up with an older guy on a later model Triumph; he had a "Huns" patch on hisd back. Isn't that a blast from the past ?
