Has anyone here had a puncture in a front spoked wheel ? If so what happened and how did you handle it ? I haven't had the pleasure yet so just curious.

a couple years ago i was on a ride heading up to cairns, about 20k out of townville one of the ladies front tube blew (was faulty) we were only doin about 80k but it was a sweeping bend. she managed to keep it up and pulled up without too mmuch trouble.
It went down almost instantly. i thik with her being on a slight bend she noticed it as soon as it started to go down so had enough warning to pull up straight away

I've had a couple of punctures with tubeless rims and they usually go down slowly and are easy to repair, the only puncture I've had with a spoked rim was at work riding my CT110 Postie bike. It went down in seconds in the rain on a corner in an 80 zone (which means I was flat out) and the thing was all over the road, but I managed to avoid hitting the oncomming telegraph pole. Can't wait for the same experience with 300+ kg to negotiate, NOT.

I've got spoked rims, and when I got me a new rear tyre after 12000 k's, they asked me if I wanted a new tube or use the same one???? Bloody odd I thought, for twenty bucks or whatever it was, just change it.
