I have an 07 883 wich has travelled 14,000Km just after idle the bike sounds noisy as in maybe lifters or cam its not a rattle its like the old V8 lifter noisy. Is this just normal for 883? I spoke with Harley Davidson in Dandenong they said they had another bike which had the same problem which they changed the lifters and it but it didnt make any difference. Has anyone got the same lifter nosiy and is this just the Harley engine sound.

I'm starting to get used to the noise but since this is my first HD i will keep it for a year then move up onto a bigger HD. But anyone got any good ideas of which pipes would be best for the 07 sportie knowing that it has that noisy signature sound.
Hopfully in 2010 i can pick up an 09 model dyna super glide custom with low kms that should be a big jump up from the sportie.
