I dont want saddle bags so  is there another type of bag I can get other than the saddle bags or getting a sissy bar to put one on

Not one that goes over both shoulders, but one that goes across your chest., black of course.

I've used an duffle bag (camo, khaki and a black one) and messenger bags for smaller items. I prefer to sling them around so the bag part is at my back, rather than side which gives the "handbag" look.

I found the smallest saddle bag I could find and put one on the left side of my bike.

It sits between the rear shock and primary. Works good and looks good. Had several ask how easy it is to fit.

you can get poly throw over bags ya just throw em over ya seat .......

my mate has a dyna and i notice he diesnt have a siisy bar, has his swag and a bag tied on with a stap around it and around the shocks (i think or another front tie down point) and theindicators.
stays together real well and he carried enough stuff to last 2 weeks on bord.
worked reall well (except for the time he forgot to tighten the straps :-)

Just throw ya missus on the back and get her to carry everything.

Some bags are right under your nose ;-)
