    Hi

I am in Darwin and the only wheel balancers available are the old static ones. I have a 2005 Anniversary fatboy and had a new whitewall fitted on the weekend, The dealers workshop fitted 4 large and 4 small lead weights to each side of the rear wheel. I think this is excessive as the rear wheel is only 6 months old. An advice would be appreciated.

Unseat the tyre and rotate it 180 degrees and re-balance.

A static balance will be fine if done properly on a good balancer.

I dont worry too much about balancing the tyres on my 950 KTM when fitting them at home,

and it see's higher speed than your Fatty probably does.
