Well, last year decided to get back in the saddle after a long lay off (we are talking bikes here by the way) and unfortunately had let my license lapse some time ago. The thought of having to get my Learners, then having "P's" for another 3 years, didn't do much for the ego. Not to mention being restricted in the size of bike that I could ride. Gee...By the time I got an open license I'd probably be ready to fall off the bloody perch.
Enter Vicroads. Found out accidently when making an enquiry about the types of bikes that were eligble to be riden under "P"'s, that if you have previously held an open motorcycle license, and can produce documented proof, that after passing your License Test, they would issue you with a full license without any retrictions. Yaaaaaaa.... That means I don't have to worry about being caught riding the Sportster. I didn't know that they had this service available. Might be of interest to someone out there. Ride safe.
hey fatman, bloody BIG surprise !!! i guess they dont want to many people to know ,it might cost them too many dollars.
