Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me what is the main difference in terms of motor / wiring

between a 2005 and 2007 Tourer ?

Reason is we have a dobeck (techclusion) which states its for a 2007 Tourer EFI engine

the 2005 Tourer is also an EFI engine - just wondering if we install the above dobeck on the 2005 Tourer,  will it work ?

I might ask the manufacturers if i can use the DObeck in an earlier model (2005)

the dobeck is FI-1440ST for a 2007 Tourer.

Could give it a go and see

mind me asking - what would you do ?

Hi Tony.

a couple of things that wont work.

As Scotty has said, the injectors changed so the plug is different.

Even if the plugs were the same on the injectors, the base map in both ecms is also quite different so set the program is also different and will run like a hairy dog with a bad case of fleas.

No probs Tony.

Im pretty sure the 07 unit also has the 02 sensor harness which it looks for during the diagnostic check in the first place.

The 05 doesnt have them and as a result the program will have some issues and give problems.

As you say, either way its not going to work.

can i please ask your opinion
trying to get info on these things is like talking with goverment departments !
The dobeck is a Techlusion 1440-st and the importers said it suits
2007 Dynas, Softails and Tourers.
What i'm thinking is they are all 96 engines, i know there was config engine changes in 2008 tourer
but i dont think any changes in the 2008 Softails / Dynas, so i'm assuming this unit
might work on the last two styles.
what do you think ?

it will fit on the 08 softail and dynas but not the tourers as the injectors are different.
