how do i make the ends of the motor fins look new again

i bought a 07 fxst and the ol mate i bought the bike off didnt give a **** about it.what is the best way to get the end of the fins on the motor lookin like new again without rounding the edges of the fins and makin a mess all over the motor

Hi Im Growl,I once had a polishing bussiness,in another lifetime,The last guy is pretty close to the money.The dromel will do what he says. but its going to take time.It would be quicker by hand.mabee a wooden ruler with white cutting paper. emery grit taped to it.The fins will be uneven.eg some more in than out .But not by much,looks very tidy if you spend a bit of time and match them all in.Start with 120 grit to match fins.then 180 then 320 then 600 then autosol.rub from a different direction with each grit. then what the last guy said ,spray paint and wipe of polished edge.But then you could go wild and cut the bottom three fins off and polish all the fins to a square block.I will post some pics if you are interested.Till latter. growl
