want to remove baffles

    g'day

    would apreciate some advice,i have currently got screaming eagle slip ons on my street bob and the dealer told me icould pull the baffles out when ever i wanted.i have tried but can't seem to succeed,help please.

    they just pull out, can be tight the first time you try to remove them.

    you can buy replacement baffles for them from J&P CYCLES that have the extra hole and the flap opened already, so you can keep the standard ones just in cases you get pinged

    I got mine out with a slide hammer, with a hook on the end.
    My dealer service dept. told me to remove them and cut the "holey" bits off with a hacksaw. I did this but found the result far too noisey! not a nice deep roar, just loud and horrible (also gave me a headache!)
    So I welded the ends back on, and drilled out all the holes to 12-13mm. not perfect sound, but much better than before.
    I am still not 100% happy so will replace mine with some V&H big radius, as in my opinion they sound great. Just got to raise the $ first.
