103” build and tuning issues.
, 09 Jan 2022 11:27 PM
Hi Hoody just getting back to you with my hot comp test figures showing 180 psi on the front and 175 on the rear. Test was done at outside temp 20c with a repco tester. I have played with the dials on my dtt ignition and have found initial 0 slope 2 with multi spark turned off by far the best settings I’ve tried so far regarding overall performance and detonation. I’ve done 16500km on this 103 now and does use some oil between changes but I’ve discovered the wiseco forged pistons and rings I ord...
0.0% alcohol drinks
, 21 Jan 2021 01:25 AM
I did last year off the booze. My daughter and I had a bet we could go a year not drinking, if you broke you had to pay money to the other person. Being both tight arses we both did the year instead. I tried the 0% alcohol beer but was not fussed on it, maybe just psychological, instead I drunk cheap mineral water. It was fine. Except everyone else must have thought of me as a filthy alcoholic, because all I heard all year was how well I was doing, how hard it must be, how I was nearly ther...

FC Church nah, you go to the Motorcycle Rememberance Faction.Had 6 750 /4s loved everyone of them, sometimes, err maybe twice on interstate trips two up, would throw dude off at destination, to do his bussiness, the ride around the joint as I always have done, to know all the area, and as chain fucken stretch, and load not there I throw the fucken casing twice. Use thin copper plate and great god 'Araldite'. Saved my arse in WA and Southern Victoria.I was dumb no doubt, probably still on that sc...

@TheBigFella The Burgman is great around town , not bad on short ( 100 or so k trips ) I am 140kg and the seat gets a little thin over time . Burgman is substantially quicker than the old evo up to 100ks from 0 start but it has small wheels that are not bump friendly good freeway commuter though . Harley sounds better , is more pillion friendly and is significantly more comfortable and less tiring. I am unfortunately of the road at present - I am type 2 diabetic and contracted Cellulitis , whi...

Popping on deceleration - De-Tune AFR?
, 19 Mar 2015 01:10 PM
Hello Guys I have just bought a new HD48 and loving it. One thing I have noticed is that on deceleration there is on the odd occasion a large POP that would no doubt leave people pissing their pants. Funny yes, but..... So, if I was to De-Tune (Screamin Eagle Race Tuner Pro) the AFR between 1500RPM - 4000RPM & 0 - 50 (throttle) by -0.4, will this help for casual riding? Leaving 50 -100 throttle settings as is will ensure Play Time/Performance when required correct? I understand this...
