Not long before we all have it and knowing how fast it’s spreading I’m sure some here already have it whether known or not. Positive test rate in Sydney yday was 28% which suggests it’s everywhere

I’m personally not too worried although quarantining again after having another PCR test due to family on both sides having positives. Only queued for 52 minutes to get my test so that was alright.

About to get it.....headed to Sydney tomorrow for a funeral. Not sure why we are told to get a PCR test anyway,we are now told if you have flu like symptoms assume you have it.

Cases are even getting up in regional Vic so I am even in with a chance of getting it.
Not a bad thing if you get a mild case. Get it, get over it, get on with life.

I am starting to think along the same lines Pete.
It looks like we are all gonna get it at some stage. Especially if you want to live a normal life.
The way I see it is this Omicron strain doesnt seem to be as bad as the Delta strain. Thats got to be a good thing. The big worry is another new strain appearing from left field.
The other thing in our favour is the rest of the world has a two year start on Australia. If we cant learn from their mistakes we are fukin doomed anyway.
Just for the record I know two people who have got it in the last few days.
Both of them infected their entire household.
Does anybody know if you get it do you become immune ?

I know two people who have it, one is very crook the other feels fine and doesnt even have any symptoms! The only reason he knows is because he has to be tested with a RAT for his job, it came back positive so went on to do the full test also positive. Seems like the flu it effects everyone in a different way. Anyway in 6hrs i will in the heart of it...

My wife and myself live in Hervey Bay Queensland about 3 /12 hours North of Brisbane have been told there is about 30 cases here maybe more. Talking to my daughter yesterday she lives at Middlemount Central Queensland a small mining town and there is about 5 cases there so no matter where you live covid is coming. Now both my wife and myself are fully vaccinated but I have a few friends who are not and refuse to be done. Now I agree it's there choice and it should not be mandatory because you should be able to decide what goes into your own body but biggest concern is a lot of people say it's only a flu but let's be realistic here. The flu kills over 600,000 people worldwide every year so covid should not be taken lightly if it's just a flu it can still kill you. Talking about the flu myself and wife didn't get the flu shorts for many years and always ended up getting crook but for the past 6 years we have had the flu shots and have not got the flu. So for us vaccination works and will get our booster shots when due.

my mate & his wife were at a new years get together and told the next day there was a positive case there.  They both got tested and came back +ve
They have both had booster shots prior and say they had no symptoms whatsoever however tested +ve so are still isolating till Monday.  Had they not been advised of the +ve people at the NYE thing they would have been none the wiser and carried on
Spoke to him last night and again he said no symptoms at all but will wait to Monday before returning to normal

we have 2 sons who live inland from mackay...and work at middlemount mine sites from time to time,as well as most other mine sites in the region......with their choice, they wont be getting the jab,not smart in my opinion, but its their lives and the ones around them.
we live 15 km inland from port campbell [ victoria for those who dont know the GOR ]...we wont be visiting port for some time as its apparently full of it and i wont be testing the water to if thats correct or not.

My misses and I look after our mums
I told my mum were getting vaxed and we both are now doubled and thinking about the booster
On the other hand my wife and her 85 year old mum have and will never get jaded
They have medications in place and say will not go to hospital, self diagnoses and treatment of covid 19
Now they are saying we all should now catch this latest strain of covid as it will help us with covid immunity

Ps my wife and I are totally academically opposites

The funny thing is that the vaccination provides immunity safer than the virus does…..thats how they work and the whole purpose of vaccinations.  Not having a go at you BD but others who think getting the virus is the better way to develop anti bodies…..does my head in
