    Just like a cattle Dog...... it'll love a good run in the morning then come home in the back of a ute

    doh. Just realised it doesn't finish til monday with leg 2.
    I thought it finished today.
    win on sunday...sell on monday...only applied to holden ford battles....

    Day 1 of the Tatts Finke Desert Race is underway, as more than 700 competitors race their way down the sandy track for 228 kilometres from Alice Springs to the community of Aputula on the ancient Finke River

    Fastest bike 1:45: 34seconds 
    384  244 FARROW, BRYAN PACIFIC PARADISE, QLD OTHER 03:19:23.0 + 01:33:48.1 + 00:00:08.2 Harley Davidson XR1200
    slowest bike 04:24:47.2
    This guy can ride and the bike must be awesome just to get there 
    Day 2 tomorrow back to Alice from Finke 
    About 40 bikes DNF so far

    XR1200 they have the oil cooled motor with Big Pin crank should be good in the heat, still a heavy bike.

    mate's son just rang from start line and confirmed race stopped police escort home in packs of 25 on service road 
    1 dead 2 fighting for life trophy truck flew over this sand hill axle gave way on landing flipped into the crowd 
    Word is one of the crew died 2 spectators in bad shape, should have been a lot worse was a lucky out come

    Spectator dead, two more injured. Driver crashed and rolled into spectators. Tragic accident. Regrettably this comes on the back of the Targa deaths, not a positive sign for all the do gooders that want motor sports events stopped.
