BMW trying to build a Harley look-alike and not doing a very good job.
Looks like shit and sounds like shit. The pipes are a joke.
Forget forward controls, they are not going to work. These bikes are for short arses.

I had a look at the R18 to see what all the fuss is about. Not my kind of bike. In stock form it is butt ugly. I read one comment that said it sounds better than a harley. Fuck me, really ???
I looked at a side-on view with that pipe and thought that looks shit, but guess what, it looks shit from the other side too !
I have seen some custom R18 bikes that don't look too bad but how they can call it is a cruiser is beyond me.
If you can't put your legs out and cruise down the highway , that is not a cruiser.
Forward controls are not going to work with that motor and exhaust.
They could call it something else, but then it wouldn't pull in the wannabes.

The Street 500 was an entry level Harley, small and lightweight to handle urban traffic. An attempt by Harley to get more young riders on board with the brand. Not a Cruiser in my book, and likely not considered a Cruiser by most Cruiser owners.
The fact that an Australian motorcycle magazine called it a Cruiser because they had no other category to put it in, is meaningless.
