    Sounds like a nice bike darn same you have to sell it Mick but life has it's challenges hopefully you will be back on a bike in the future, I hope the bike sells fast and all the best for your future mate

    Aye Blokes. Sold Bagger , with Air Horns mind you. 
    Am totally bewildered now . So nearly 70 , homeless, um but get dollars soon when kick out person from my house. Then what to do, want my , Tojo, that’s a given , want a box van thingo , . But want a Bike of course. So. Is there a box thingo I can live in and have a bike stashed and my Dog? There must be something like that? If not I’ll make one . Ideas Blokes ?

    Hi Baloski,   have a look at Jayco Base station,   or Toy hauler,  they have a drop down ramp at rear, and plenty room.  There are a couple other brand vans that also make them.

    Like Steamer said a toy hauler could be something that might fit the bill.....downside is your going to have to get a bigger car to tow it around......and sadly all this aint very cheap.

    Ohh . Had BT 50 . But wrote that off, as what I do.. Twas good Tug. 
    Prado at the moment. Thinking is pretty cool. 330,000 kms been round our Island twice , but , long as do not tow on top gear , like keeping in 3 or 4 , should be Kaye. Will look up suggestions, too old for roof tent I think. Has been suggested Black Wolf Tents are ok? Bout a grand . ?  But want Road bike in my travels. GreyNomad .  shit . Known as Travellers… well is singular now. Umm yup . Box trailer decked out , good idea. There are that many homeless folks these days is unbelievable . Any info suggestions always very much appreciated. Thanks Boys.

    Hey Mick, a mate in a similar situation bought an old enclosed tandem axle furniture/cargo trailer, think about 12' x 6', from a trailer hire mob that was closing down. Being a boilermaker, he framed up a doorway on one side, a big wide fold up hatch like a coffee van on the other, Being a bit of a paranoid boiler maker he also put an escape hatch in the chequer plate floor. Put a wood framed kitchen bench across the inside front, a narrow bunk on the right hand side. It already had a big spring loaded ramp for the back wall/tailgate. When travelling, his old fxr Convertible was tied down on the left.
    Not as comfortable as a fully fitted caravan, but it was the cheapest option at the time and towed OK behind his early 90s Jeep Cherokee, 4 litre petrol 6 cylinder. Eventually he made up a fibreglass nose cone for the upper part of the front wall, laid the glass cloth up over a carefully shaped pile of wet sand, neat idea.
    In the long run it probably cost a bit more to tow than a commercial purpose-built toy hauler, but the upfront cost was pretty low.
    I think it was rated to a GVM of 3.5 tonnes, well beyond what the Jeep could pull, but at his usual loading it travelled OK.

    Hey Balof, similar to what Obi described I bought an old car trailer that was past its used by date for hauling cars and built a frame over it then clad it with thin steel. I loaded both bikes, my tools and a heap of other shit into it (including my fold up pool table) and dragged it from Vic to QLD, over to NT, down to Alice then Victor Harbour, back to Alice . . ., well, you get the idea. It did not cost much and the looks we got from the sheeple when we stopped at roadside rest stops and pulled the pool table out were priceless.

    One of the back doors was actually a ramp for rolling the bikes in and out. There was a fair amount of room inside.
    This was in the days prior to mobile phones so there ain't a lot of photos of it but I have a few more if you want to see 'em.

    That is Fucken Amazing. Am of age don’t give a fucken about looks. OK. Lost my Tourer, but it was time. Am looking at something lighter and just more dynamic, as realised can’t live in tent , too fucken physically damaged , now you blokes have given me inspiration , as always ride. And there are ways in this big brown country of ours to have it all. Thanks T4 . I had many Guzzis . But looking at non tourer like 1200 or similar. Dunno yet. But , good fucken idea man.

    Is that a typewriter you're using in the second photo? That would have got more attention than the pool table :-)

    Edit: Just read your next post - typewriter probably not so surprising pre-mobile phones. Both showing our age :-)

    Guess what . I’m in Victor Harbour as I type on my little bloody phone. You did a Stirling job, doing that trip. Bet much younger than niw? Just ordered a Rooftop tent for my Tojo. Dune fridge . And bought a shit loads from yeah, Bunnings . Now , I kinda wanted to keep rear free, for Bike. See wat happens but can always regroup and re-org. That knowledge you guys have passed on , is here and online, and is Cool. I shall be skimming back to regroup , reacclimatise , and remember, you bunch a blokes . Thanks men.  Mick
